We offer a complimentary express shipping service through DHL for orders over $700. For orders under $700 we offer an express shipping service through DHL at a flat rate of $30.

Customs and Import Fees

All orders ship from Ghana.

Prices do not include possible local sales taxes/VAT/tariffs and duties.

If the value of your order exceeds your local toll free limit, extra fees may be incurred for import taxes/duties upon delivery. We are unable to estimate these fees. Please check with your local customs office for more information.

DLCT Contemporary is not responsible for these charges if they are applied as they are the responsibility of the customer. We also do not reimburse these fees.

If you fail to comply with customs and consequently the parcel is returned to DLCT Contemporary, you will be liable for the additional fees charged for return and re-delivery. These will be deducted from your store credit amount.

Additionally, If the parcel is abandoned and gets destroyed by the courier, unfortunately, the order will not be eligible for store credits/refunds.

Returns

Return policy

Returns can be made within 14 calendar days of receiving your item(s) for store credit only. To initiate a return, follow these steps:

  1. Return Request: All returns must be requested, assessed, and tentatively approved within 14 calendar days of receiving the item(s). After approval, you have 3 working days to ship the item to us. If this time frame is missed, the return will be canceled, and a new request must be submitted.
  2. Customer Responsibility: Customers are responsible for all return shipping arrangements and fees. Please use a reliable, fully trackable service. It is your responsibility to ensure the item is safely and timely delivered to our address. Returned items must arrive within 10 working days of approval. Non-compliant return requests will be automatically canceled.
  3. Non-Refundable Shipping Costs: Initial shipping costs are non-refundable. A shipping fee will also apply to any new orders.
  4. No Exchanges or Refunds: We do not offer exchanges or refunds.
  5. Store Credit Confirmation: Once the returned merchandise arrives to us and has passed our quality check, a store credit will be issued, and a confirmation email will be sent to you.

 

RETURN RULES

  • Items must be unused, unaltered, unstained, unwashed, and free of any smells or fragrances. All original tags and packaging must be intact and in sellable condition.
  • Sale items and custom-made garments are FINAL SALE and cannot be returned.
  • Pop-Up Shop items are FINAL SALE and cannot be returned.

INELIGIBLE RETURNS

We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not meet our return conditions. If a return is refused, the item will be returned to the original shipping address at the customer’s expense.

Frequent returns from the same account may be flagged in our system. If we detect misuse of our return policy, we reserve the right to block accounts and/or cancel future orders.

By placing an order, you confirm your agreement to our store policies.

Return Costs

Return fees are provided by customer. Kindly use a fully trackable service.

Kindly note that initial shipping fees cannot be refunded. Shipping fees on your new items will be applied.

How to return

You can initiate self-returns from your customer account for authorization.

Your return request will be notified to our Customer Care, who will evaluate whether to authorize it or not based on our rules. If approved, you will receive a confirmation email containing our complete return address.

Return Conditions

  • Customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping. Please use a reliable, fully trackable service.
  • Items must be in their original condition as received: unworn, unwashed, free of odors or damage, with all tags still attached, and in the original packaging.
  • Securely tape the parcel and attach your return label.

Store Credit Issuance

Once the returned merchandise has passed our quality check, a store credit will be issued, and a confirmation email will be sent to you.

Items that do not meet our return conditions will be sent back to the customer at their own expense.

Orders

Pre-orders

Pre-orders are charged at the time of purchase and will be processed and shipped according to the timeline provided on the product page. Once a pre-order is placed, items or sizes cannot be amended or canceled.

If your order contains both pre-order and in-stock items, please note that the entire order will ship once the pre-order item is ready. For faster delivery of in-stock items, we recommend placing a separate order.

How long until my order is shipped out?

STANDARD ORDERS: Kindly allow up to 2 business days for order processing.

MADE TO ORDER/PRE-ORDERS: Processing information is specific to the product and is available on each product's page.

KINDLY NOTE: Processing times due to weekends, sales, holidays or peak periods may be longer.

Order cancellation

We currently cannot cancel orders after they're placed.

I realized a mistake after purchase, what should I do?

Kindly email us at hello@dlctcontemporary.com (or use our contact form) within 5 hours of placing the order. 

We will do our best to make the necessary corrections but please note this is not always possible.

How do I check my order status?

When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us which will include a tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become available. 

You may also log into your account for updates.

I haven’t received my order

If you haven’t received your order within 14 business days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at hello@dlctcontemporary.com (or use our contact form) with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you.

Please ensure that you have filled in a valid address and phone number so we can contact you on delivery.

How do I select my best fit?

Our size guide is unique to DLCT and specifically designed using real-life data collected from real women's bodies in Ghana. Please do not use your size from another brand without checking.

Kindly use a tape measure to collect your bust-waist-hip measurements in inches and compare.

In order to help find your best fit, the following information is available on our product pages:

Note:

- We recommend to always size up if in between sizes/unsure

- We also recommend a good tailor to help with alterations to your taste
