Our approach
Every DLCT Contemporary piece is carefully prepared before leaving our studio. Should you wish to return your order, requests are accepted within 14 calendar days of delivery and are issued as store credit.
We do not offer exchanges or cash refunds. Original shipping costs are non-refundable, and a shipping fee applies to any subsequent orders. Placing an order with us constitutes acceptance of these terms.
The return process
Returns are initiated through your customer account. Our team reviews each request against our care standards before confirming eligibility.

Request
Submit your return request via your customer account within 14 calendar days of receiving your order. You will receive a response from our team confirming whether the piece is eligible. If confirmed, we will provide our complete studio address by email.

Dispatch
Once confirmed, please dispatch the piece within 3 working days using a fully trackable courier service of your choosing. Return shipping arrangements and costs are the responsibility of the sender. The piece must arrive at our studio within 10 working days of confirmation — requests outside this window will no longer be eligible.

Assessment & credit
Upon arrival, each returned piece is assessed against our original care standards. Where these are met, store credit will be issued and a confirmation sent to you. Should a piece not meet the required condition, it will be returned to your address. Any customs or duties incurred on the return will be deducted from the credit amount.
Care standards for return
We ask that returned pieces arrive exactly as they left us — a reflection of the care with which they were made.
- Unworn, unaltered, and unwashed
- Free of fragrance, markings, or any trace of wear
- All original tags intact and packaging preserved
- Securely packaged for transit with return label affixed
Return shipping arrangements and costs are the responsibility of the customer. We recommend using a fully trackable service, as items remain under your care until they are safely received at our address.
Final sale Non-returnable
Certain pieces are designated final sale and are not eligible for return. This is a condition of their making — not an oversight.

- Custom and made-to-order garments
- Pieces acquired at our pop-up events
Damaged or imperfect pieces
If a piece arrives defective or damaged, we ask that you please contact us directly at hello@dlctcontemporary.com. We will attend to the matter with care and without delay.
Our discretion
Returns that do not meet our care standards will not be accepted. In such cases, the piece will be returned at customer's expense. We reserve the right to withdraw return eligibility where the spirit of this policy is not honoured.
